Clinical Summit in Los Angeles
- New Cygnet version released -
The Clinical Summit in Los Angeles is the event for neurofeedback practitioners from all over USA each year. For three days participants can exchange information on a professional level, learn about new developments and try new things out, together with the EEG Institute clinicians.
Due to the collaboration between EEG Info USA and EEG Info Europe there was an exchange of experience between the EEG Info clinicians and teachers. This year Meike Wiedemann and Philippe Gauffriau supported the American team during the neurofeedback sessions at the summit and reported about the impressive developments and progress in Europe.
A main topic of this year´s Clinical Summit was the Synchrony-training and the new 2-channel training options in Cygnet. With 150 participants, it was the biggest EEG Info event so far.

The highlight was the presentation of the new Cygnet version 2.0.2 with the new 2-channel ILF HD module, 2-channel Synchrony training with specially designed feedback animations and several additional levels for the Hyperpong feedback with various possibilities for interactive training.

You can download the new CYGNET version from the download area in the member area or by clicking the button <Check for Updates> in "About" in the CYGNET help-menu.

  New Synchrony Cygnet Module
The new Synchrony Module can be selected from the module menu in the newest CYGNET version. The aim of the synchrony training is to create a clear, calm state, similar to meditation. This type of neurofeedback is used to to train a calm "being in the present".
Normally the synchrony training is done after sufficient awake-state training. It can be done before, after or instead of the alpha-theta training. In contrast to the alpha-theta training the synchrony training is done with eyes open. The new Synchrony feedback runs only with the Synchrony module and offers a ruminant visual and auditory feedback, for example with changing fractals or various nature scenes. The new Cygnet version offers 20 trial versions of the Synchrony feedback. Synchrony game codes will be available at EEG Info soon.

  User Tip
Engine Sound in Innertube
The spaceships, butterflys and airplanes in InnerTube have an engine sound. This can be turned on and off and the volume can be changed (Quiet / Normal / Loud) in the menu "Game Settings".
In order to change engine sound please do the following:
1. Start Cygnet
2. Start InnerTube
3. Choose a tunnel
4. Move the mouse onto the InnerTube window, make a right click on the mouse. The menu "Game Settings" will open.
5. Here you can choose the sound level under the item "Engine Sound".
Sometimes patients do not like the engine sound. In these cases you can lower the volume of the engine sound or turn it off completely. Please just take into account that the engine sound is a feedback channel and that one of the feedback channels will be missing if you turn the engine sound off.
